Interview: Dave Kennedy, TrustedSec
David Kennedy is founder of TrustedSec and Binary Defense Systems. Both organizations focus on the betterment of the security industry from an offense and a defense perspective. David also served as a board of director for the ISC2 organization. David was the former CSO for a Diebold Incorporated where he ran the entire INFOSEC program. David is a co-author of the book "Metasploit: The Penetration Testers Guide", the creator of the Social-Engineer Toolkit (SET), Artillery, and several popular open source tools. David has been interviewed by several news organizations including CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, Katie Couric, and BBC World News. David is the co-host of the social-engineer podcast and on several additional podcasts. David has testified in front of Congress on two occasions on the security around government websites. David is one of the founding authors of the Penetration Testing Execution Standard (PTES); a framework designed to fix the penetration testing industry. Prior to the private sector, David worked for the United States Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq twice for intelligence related missions.

Sandra Toms is vice president at RSA and curator of RSA Conference. In 1998, her vision was to establish RSA Conference as a global cybersecurity forum where technology vendors and businesses unite with the public sector against the common threat of cybercrime. Under her leadership, RSA Conference has grown from a gathering of 3,000 attendees to become the world’s premier cyber security event, attracting more than 35,000 attendees each year. Toms’ commitment to continuous innovation and expertise in communications and strategy have made speaking at RSA Conference a badge of honor amongst cyber security’s finest minds. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and a J.D. from Santa Clara University, where she graduated cum laude and was the managing editor of the High Tech Law Journal.
Britta Glade is Director, Content and Curation for RSA Conference. She has been in the learning and security sector for 23 years. Most recently she headed analyst relations for RSA and in 2014 was recognized by industry analysts as one of the top 10 analyst relations professionals by the Institute of Analyst Relations Professionals, a global recognition that values responsiveness, relationships and results.
